A sad "no" for Dog Contestant #1 "Theo"

Well after having a fabulous sleep over with "Theo" we have decided that we are not going to adopt. It was a tough one...but we just couldn't see ourselves getting comfortable enough and confident enough to have him and Esther around...He sure is a GREAT dog though!!!

he likes me...and I like him...but he still has to pass the tests!

Dog contestant #1

This is Theo...we are currently "testing" him out to see if he would work for our family dog. Of course our main concern is interaction with Esther...so we are being very careful and smart! We have him for two days...then we are going to see if we are going to adopt him!

Day with the 'rents

The 'rents came down to pick up some bushes that they got off of Craigs list...lots of fun loading......................... :) But it was great to spend the day with them!

boing boing boing

It was so nice out...we had a fun time of jumping on the trampoline!

tilled

The finished product...we got smart and decided not to battle the tiller with our arms the whole time, so we attached ourselves to it with a rope and put it around our butt so we could get some leverage. Amy just informed me that she thinks she got some bruises on her hips from it...definatly a work out! But now the garden plot is looking more like a garden plot!!

paying a visit (note the eyes)

Esther and Momma came out to visit as I "tilled the earth"...that's farmer talk.

Tillin'

Getting crackin' with the tiller on loan from the Fishers. I never had a clue how much of a work out this is!! Amy also worked at it for a long time, really impressive!

dandruff

This is Esther's post-slop cradel cap removal... Good time: rub a little baby oil on her head...then scrape it off with a little comb!

slop

We gave Esther her first searving of "slop" ("oatmeal") don't know if she liked it or hated it...it was just funny to watch her suckle the spoon...doesn't quite get the concept of a spoon...she'll figure it out!

true north?

You know how those old people tend to loose their sense of direction with age...We solved the problem by mutating the DNA in Granpa's forehead greese so that a compass would grow from the pores
