Another human enters the world.

Amy waits patiently for Dr. Wujek to arrive to break her water.

After a few hours of not much progress, Dr. Wujek decides to start some pitocin... just to get things going!

Pitocin worked like a charm. Amy labored, and walked around the floor for a few hours. Then got an epidural. And some time and pushing hard through three contractions, then out came Paisley Mae Freeman. Paisley did have the cord wrapped around her neck but Dr. Wujek was able to take it off no problem.

Paisley is a little swollen and bruised up... weighing in at 7lbs 8oz.

I was asked if I wanted to bath her, I couldn't pass it up. It's always a little weird to hold around their necks like that.

All cleaned up, ready to head home. This is a rare catch of her wide eyed and awake.

Amy caught this nose to nose time. I can't believe I have three girls...

Dark hair like Papa.

Grammie getting to come and see her for the first time.

Hanging out in her plastic bed.

My lovely bride with our third little lady. She did amazing!

Grandpa getting his first glimpse at the little one.

Gracie loves her new sister, isn't totally stable in the concept of "gentle"... but she'll get there!

This picture sums up Gracie's feelings about Paisley so far.

And this picture sums up Esthers feelings about Paisley so far!

We are now the "Freeman Five"!

World Premiere!

Today we checked into St. Mary's Hospital at 6am. Our doctor came in to break our water at 7am. By noon'ish we were on the "kick it into gear" juice (pitocin). And by 3'ish we were in some major labor and Amy got a epidural. By 4:45 we were holding our then nameless child.

She has since been given the name Paisley Mae. Paisley was 7lbs 8oz. 20.5 inches long. She looks a bit like Esther and a bit like Grace but fully unique. She hasn't really cried and ate great!

pretty amazing...I have 3 little girls! What's a Papa to do!

oh and for now she has jet black hair! ...Get that from Grandma Barb maybe!?

Pregnancy Update

We are 39 weeks, and counting! It is amazing how time goes on. We live our lives and in a blink of an eye time has passed us by. This pregnancy was fast, to say the least. It is strange to think that last July we would've been welcoming a new little one. We will just have to wait a little longer to meet that sweet blessing. Now we wait in anticipation to accept this gift God has blessed us with. I can't think of a better way to spend my time here on Earth, being a wife to an amazing man and mama to three little ladies! (well, according to the ultrasound we will add one more girl to the mix!) We appreciate your prayers for a smooth delivery and healthy baby, in addition to wisdom and guidance as we continue to learn what it means to be parents.

Autumn

One evening we thought we would go enjoy the colors of Pioneer park, it is so pretty this time of year. We stayed at the park for all of 15 minutes! It was coooold!! But pretty.

Rainy Day Fun

What are little girls to do on cold, wet and gloomy days? Here's just a glimpse...

We play "cowgirl" mommy...

We pretend to "go out" with our purse and Shatzi (yes, pucchi played the role of shatzi!)...

We play "make-up store," and I have no idea where they learned that possibility!

And we play dress up with some adorable tutu skirts and matching headbands; gifts from a great family at church.

I love that in Walla Walla we can have "rainy days." It isn't that it doesn't ever rain, or that it is even rare, but it happens just often enough to make a day different and somehow special. Now we look forward to the snow! Esther is so excited for our first snow day... and I confess, so am I.

Halloween 2009

We took the girls downtown to trick or treat in the afternoon. Needless to say, it was super crowded! We waited in long lines and walked slowly through huge crowds for a few pieces of candy... what can I say? It is for the experience! It was fun to see other kids dressed up. Esther pointed out every possible "fairy" costume she could spot!

After downtown, we went to the church for the carnival. More crowds! We had a great time being dressed up and seeing our friends.

Our Family Vacation

We were blessed to be able to spend a week at a beach house in Depoe Bay with Isaac's family. As promised, I have posted pictures of our time there.

Warning: I posted a whole bunch!

I tried to narrow it down, really, but let's face it... looking at pictures makes me happy!!! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Depoe Bay

aaaw...

Around the house...

Fun at Depoe Bay

Esther and papa flying a ladybug kite... it was fun to watch Ike and Uncle Steve really get into the kite flying... great moves out there!

We visited an awesome tide pool. This is just a taste of what we saw, beautiful colors.

Gracie holding up the peice of kelp that she soon began to lick...

At the skate park in Lincoln City. This was my "the hills are alive" shot... very pretty. And no, Ike didn't sing for me.

Just a small glimpse of the skate bowls, the park was BIG!

Good Times...
