Not according to plan... but still fun!

Esther and Gracie learning about the ways of Japanese landscaping at the Japanese Gardens inside one of the Spokane parks. I think that the Japanese are major OCD. When I was in Japan on layover in Tokyo I noticed how rediculously clean everything was... same goes for their landscaping... All Japanese Gardens are is very clean gardening... every plant and path...... clean.

Look what was staying at the hotel next to us... we drove up for a closer look.

Little baby beaver at the riverside park... didn't expect to see these little fellas.

Everything was seemingly within walking distance from our hotel, it was nice. We only had to walk through the riverfront park to get there... but that was nice. I am using that word a lot... nice.

Here we are after riding the carousel. Esther and Grace seemed to have a great time... it was just like in Mary Poppins.

Pre-ride picture

Grace was so tired that she fell asleep between putting a fishy cracker in her mouth and chewing it.

Gracie on the famous iron goat... If you haven't heard of it...get on board!

@ the park

on the giant red wagon... fairly unexciting up in the actual wagon, and it had scary stairs that we could have hurt ourselves on.

Amy and Grace

Gracie and the clock tower.

Amy and the girls walking accross the bridge to the park. On our way to lots of walking around downtown. Why does Spokane exist? I understand Seattle because of all of the ports etc. But Spokane seems to have nothing...I don't get it.

And finally our lovely hotel. It was perfect. a dividable room with 2 tv's. And a great view of the neighboring Red Lion hotel parking lot...and part of the river. It was a great time as a family!

Me again! I enlarged one of the fam pics because I liked your sweatshirt, Amy. While enlarged I noticed Isaac's hair. Did he just get a haircut?
